Jim Nantz speaks on the importance of PGA charities
Jim Nantz, the suave CBS sportscaster, displayed some uncharacteristic fiery indignation Tuesday at the Metropolitan Golf Writers’ awards dinner in Old Greenwich, Conn. Mr. Nantz tore into politicians and other opinion-makers who denounce support for golf tournaments as an inappropriate indulgence. “The PGA Tour raises more for charity than the NFL, NBA and baseball combined,” he said.
